Gas Prices Have Dropped In My Area

I was completely amazed today when I had to get gas. The prices have dropped dramatically since the last time I had to fuel up. It’s been well over 2 weeks to be quite honest, which for me is really amazing. I guess I haven’t done as much traveling as I normall do, though. Gas right now in my area for regular unleaded is only $3.09!! I filled up for under $50, and I haven’t been able to do that in so long, I was literally shocked. When I saw the prices I had to do a double take because I wasn’t believing my eyes. I really didn’t expect gas prices to go down, especially after the recent hurricane, and the problems we are having with the Middle East. (This is a whole nother blog post, that I may or may not ever get around to doing.)

Other than gas prices going down, I can’t think of anything else about my day that was good. I spent way too much and got way too little at the grocery store. I lost out on some money thanks to one of the companies I do sponsored posts for. (Not naming names) I also have one of the worst headaches in history, and to top it off Chris and I aren’t getting along all that great. (What else is new?) But, Hey Guess What?!?! Gas prices have dropped dramatically!! Oh, yeah.. I already said that! :nerd:

AIG Using Bailout Money For What?!?!?

Okay, I know I don’t usually bring politics into my blog.. and this isn’t really as much politics as it is just downright screwed up. I am thoroughly disgusted with this whole AIG Bailout thing. Seriously, $85 billion of our tax dollars to help this company get out of their “hole” and they are still asking for more? Guess what? The “Fed” is giving it to them. $37.8 billion more, to be exact. To make matters worse, just days after the Fed gives AIG $85 billion, the company spent $444,000 on a “conference” at an exclusive (and very expensive) California resort. They spent $23,380 just in spa services alone.

What I don’t understand is there are people suffering, getting evicted, worrying about how they are going to feed their families and we have jackasses like AIG using taxypayer’s money that rescued their failing company at one of the most exclusive resorts in the country. Let’s break it down a little, and maybe I won’t be the only one that is simply disgusted. AIG spent $139,375.30 just on rooms, another $147,301.71 for banquets (which I’m assuming is to stuff their fat faces), $1,488 at the Vogue Salon (getting manicures, pedicures, and their hair done). :wtf: They also spent $6,939.09 on GOLF, $2,949 for gratuities, $5,016.32 at a Tavern, and $3,064.71 for in-room dining.

Oh, and guess what makes this even more wonderful? They’ll just write this off on their taxes next year as a business expense. So not only are American taxpayer’s footing the bill for their little “get away”, we’ll be doing it again when they file their taxes.

American Insurance Group Inc, you suck.

Be An Extra!!

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a movie extra? Movie extras are those people you see in the backgrounds of television scenes and movies. Usually, extras don’t have any lines whatsoever, and are just seen doing random every day things like walking down the street carrying groceries, waiting for a bus, or eating at a restaurant. Extras are basically props that are used to make a scene appear real and life-like. As an extra, you could earn anywhere from $100-$300 a day. That seems like a nice day’s pay just for “being there”, doesn’t it? I’ve sometimes thought it would be neat to be an extra in a movie, and I actually have an aunt who was an extra in a movie many years ago. In the movie she was in, she was a patron at a local bar in our area where they were filming the movie. She had to dance and just act like she was having a good time, and she was paid really well for it. If you are interested in becoming a movie extra, earning some decent money, and maybe even appearing in a movie with one of your favorite actors, Talent6 can help you do just that. All you need to do is make a simple toll-free call to 800-493-9047 and speak to one of their portfolio managers. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 85 can do this, and it doesn’t matter where you live because they film all over the country. If you think this is something you could do or want to do just give Talent6 a call!
