My job keeps me on the road a lot, but that’s also a sign that my business is going well.

I manage a few authors and travel to meet with them and go on book tours and signings with them, but I can’t really say who the authors are. On one recent book tour I noticed that I was having some trouble hearing people at the book stores and stopped by miracle ear SACRAMENTO. I didn’t have time to do a hearing test then, but later I booked an appointment at hearing aids TAMPA and got even more information about hearing devices.

We finished up the rest of that leg of the book tour and once I was home and had time to take a breather, I stopped by miracle ear BALTIMORE and finally got a hearing test and got fitted for some hearing aids.

Although no one on the book tour noticed that I seemed to be a little hard of hearing, I was self-conscious about it. So I definitely felt better once I had them and they gave me a little bit of a confidence boost.

    Scott Weiland – Lip Synching?

I came across this video of a live performance of Stone Temple Pilots and apparently Scott Weiland fell offstage during the performance but "kept on singing" so I guess it’s safe to say he was probably lip-synching. I guess a lot of people are pretty annoyed by the whole thing, and I think maybe if I paid money to see a band perform live and the singer was lip-synching I might be a little annoyed too. I think, though, that a lot of performers do the lip-synching thing. I mean imagine having to sing for hours night after night. I would think that it would wear on your voice.

Anyway, it’s not anything new. I mean Miley Cyrus has been known to lip-synch as well as use a "double" on stage. No one condemns her for that. Britney Spears has also lip-synched. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal, but it’s kind of funny when it’s so blatant. He wasn’t even on stage, he was on the ground and the words were till coming as if nothing happened.

I mean I couldn’t see him and neither could anyone else. He could very well have been singing from the floor. (haha?) Who knows.

    The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Woodrow Wilson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m going to college to get an education degree. I don’t know exactly what my options will be once I graduate and I don’t know exactly what path I will choose. I am flighty and sometimes I change my mind regarding where I’d like to end up. I just recently learned about something, though, that might actually help to sway me in one particular direction. The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship is a program that will provide recent college grads or people who are changing their careers in the STEM field with a scholarship of $30,000. The scholarship is offered to those who choose to complete a master’s degree at one of the Universities that are participating in the program.

To be a candidate, you’ll need to have completed an undergraduate degree in a STEM field by June of 2011. I will be finished with my undergrad degree by then, so this works out perfectly for me. The candidate will also have to have graduated with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be committed to the program. If accepted into the fellowship, one must complete a field-based master’s degree in teacher education and commit to teach for at least three years at a school that is considered "high-need."

If you think you might be interested in this fellowship and you are qualified, visit www.wwteachingfellowship.org to fill out an application. Hurry though, because the deadline is actually today. Check out the video below for more information:
