The Importance of Auto Insurance

In The State of Texas, having insurance on your vehicle is mandatory. Actually, everyone who has a driver’s license is supposed to carry some form of insurance, but most who don’t own or drive a vehicle on a regular basis don’t. I hear alot of people, like my parents for instance, saying they sometimes can’t afford auto insurance, but what I’m wondering is if they can’t afford the insurance itself, then how are they going to afford that expensive ticket that they’ll get eventually. THe fine here for not carrying auto insurance is nearly $400. I would definitely rather carry insurance, not only for that reason but for the most important one of all - financial responsibility.

I Has Cable

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed again lately. I get this way sometimes, and I just can’t seem to relax. My OCD has been kicking my ass as of late, too. The constant need to keep my kitchen spotless at all times is starting to really get to me. It’s like I can’t do anything unless I know my kitchen is spotless. I feel like a freak, lol.

Anyway, we got cable again yeserday. I’d been watching “regular” television for quite awhile now, and not only do the channels not come in worth a damn, but I missed HGTV. Yes, I love the Home and Garden channel, don’t make fun. I love that show House Hunters and now I get to watch it again. Plus, I have that really nice lcd tv and who wants to watch regular fuzzy, crappy basic television on such a nice tv? Not me, that’s for sure.

Since I got cable television again, I went ahead and got the triple thing. Phone, Internet, Tv. With the HBO channels and the phone and internet, it’s going to average about $140 a month. I’m not quite sure that it’s worth it, but I figured I’d give it a go and if I don’t like paying that much or find that it’s getting too difficult, I’ll just downgrade and get rid of some channels and HBO. Then I’ll only be paying $99/month. Yeah, call me cheap.

I’m also glad that I got a new ISP because for some reason my DSL has been acting up quite a bit lately, and I’m also having trouble connecting to the router. I’m not sure if one has anything to do with the other, but Eric can’t use his computer and we can’t connect the Nintendo DS either, unless there is no passcode specified on the network. That means, if I make the network unsecure, we can log on freely, but when I secure it and enter the passcode, it just won’t work. It’s very frustrating.

New Brush Sets

I made a couple of new brush sets recently. They are basically 100×100 icon stamps. You know, borders and decorations for icons to add a little “flair” or make them fancy. I don’t make brushes as often as I’d like, mainly because I don’t have alot of extra time, but also because they do take some creativity and lately I feel like I’ve been lacking that. Anyway, here’s the two new brush sets I made.

Ok, so let’s start with the ridiculous celebrity gossip that I heard today. There’s a rumor that Jessica Biel is pregnant by Justin Timberlake. Why these rumors? Well apparently she’s been photographed looking like she might be pregnant. Now, the thing is if I were here I’d be pissed if people were going around saying I’m pregnant cause I have couple of less than flattering pictures floating around and it turns out I’m just looking preggo that day, you know? But, even though I don’t think she’s the most beautiful person.. if it turns out she is pregnant… that’ll probably be one adorable baby.

Next on the list of random bs, Forbes.com has put out a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. I’ll only list the top 5 because 100 is just too many, and I know that you all probably are not all that interested.

Moving On. As previously posted, I love Metallica’s newest single. It’s freaking amazing. I can’t stop listening to it. It’s making me almost want to go and buy the album on Friday. Almost. I’m just not the type of person who is going to rush out and buy a Cd just because of 1 decent song. I’ll definitely be listening for some more great songs like “My Apocalypse” but I’m still not holding my breath. I haven’t heard a song that I liked this much from Metallica since the early - mid 90’s. That oughta tell you something.

Metallica Did Not Disappoint with My Apocalypse!

Metallica released yet another single off of their upcoming album Death Magnetic that’s due out this coming Friday. The single is called My Apocalypse and suprisingly I LOVE it! I am pleasantly surprised by this because the last couple of songs I’d heard from their new album weren’t that great in my opinion and I hadn’t been expecting much from them. The riffs on this song kick ass, James wails, and everything goes together perfectly. This is what I’ve been waiting for. Way to go guys, I really hope to hear more songs like this, and I pray this is not the only decent song on that album. It rocks.Hell Yes.

Living in a place like Texas, it’s a nightmare when you don’t have air conditioning in your vehicle. I used to have to drive around without an air conditioner because my A/C compressor had gone out and I couldn’t afford to get it fixed at the time. You see some of the weirdest things sometimes on the internet, right? This morning I came across something that was kind of cute but just plain weird to me. I mean, I think it’s strange to dress your pet in clothing as it is, but this is taking that to a whole new level. Check these out, policital shirts for your pet. This one says “Bark Obama”. Isn’t that just adorable? /sarcasm. There are a few other Obama shirts on this website.

“McCanine” Poor doggy, having to wear that shirt, LOL. They have a “Bush Sucks” shirt also, which would more than likely be the one I would put on my doggy if I had a doggy and was odd enough to dress my doggy in little weird doggy clothes. I guess it’s kind of cute, to dress your pet in a political shirt? No, really.. it’s not cute at all. It’s weird. Very weird.

The funniest thing I saw on that website, to be perfectly honest, was “Bush Biskits”. They are $2.50 each and in my opinion they are worth every penny. I would definitely feed these to my dog, or at least let him bite the heads off of each one. Again, if I had a dog!
