I was just talking to my mom the other day about how nice it would be to have a sort of "personal organizer" for the internet. Sure you can simply bookmark pages you like, but how nice would it be to be able to organize everything from your favorite places to eat, to receipts to books, recipes and websites all right on your computer? Well I just found out this evening that there is actually something just like that. It’s called Springpad and it’s a really cool, free personal organizer. With Springpad you can collect and save your favorite recipes from any website with just a few clicks of your mouse button. You can easily search for any recipe that you have stored, add personalized notes, change ingredients around and even add pictures. With Springpad you can also create shopping lists and access both the recipes and shopping lists from your phone!
Some other cool features of Springpad are that it enables you to collect and track wines, restaurants you want to check out. You can even read reviews, make reservations and use Google maps to locate the restaurant and get directions. You can even create a travel plan, and add restaurants to your travel list that you want to visit while you’re traveling. If you own an iPhone you can even search for restaurants that are closest to you from your list. Springpad also has a meal planner, receipt tracker and gift planners. All together there are over 50 apps to help you stay organized.
In honor of Thanksgiving coming up, some of Springpad’s food blogger partners are bringing out their favorite recipes. If you see a recipe you like, you just click on it to add it to your Springpad virtual recipe box and you will be automatically entered to win $100 cash. Go to http://springpadit.com/springsgiving to Check out Springpad and enter the contest.
