The Electricity Is Back On!!!

Today was a little better than yesterday. Chris and I really didn’t talk much today, though, so that could attribute to that fact. I dunno. Plus I got word that the electricity is back on in my area. Yay! I’m more than likely staying until Sunday, though, because my parents are staying until then.. their lights probably won’t be back on for awhile. Our little apartments are paid for through Sunday anyway, and I don’t want my parents and my grandma having to drive home alone, just in case something happens to their car. It was broken down for a few days while we’ve been here cause of a water pump problem, but my step-dad seems to have taken care of that.
All in all, Hurricane Ike really made a mess of things for us, but like I said before.. I know I’m one of the lucky ones. I am definitely not looking forward to cleaning out my freezer and fridge though. That’s gonna be so nasty! 
My mom cooked fajitas for dinner and they brought some downstairs for Eric and I. I was grateful cause I’m getting sick of the same old crap. It’s just hard cause we really don’t have alot of cooking utensils, no pots and pans or anything like that. Although my mom did let me borrow a pan the other day and I have yet to return it. She hasn’t asked for it back yet, though.
Anyway, other than that.. I think I’m going to start making some changes in my life and my personal life real soon. Change can be good sometimes. We’ll see.

I’m glad to hear your place has power now. Cleaning out the fridge really is nasty, but hopefully by then everything would have refrozen so clean up would be less messy. We had a deep freezer in the garage and something tripped the plug and it automatically shut off (some stupid garage tool safety thing) and we had no idea (this was a month or so ago) and we eventually noticed an awful smell. OMG it was awful. The stuff in there was so soggy and sticky. I hope you don’t end up having to go through something like that. I’m glad to hear you are going to make some personal changes in your life. You have to do what’s best for you and your kiddo, and your sanity.
