Circle Of Friends

Well, my parents just left. They came over with pizza and presents, and hung out for a few hours. I’m glad they brought pizza, cause I was starving. My mom brought me a couple of gifts. She got me a nice red strawberry scented candle set. I love red, and it looks fabulous with my furniture and color scheme. She also bought me an awesome black wood framed mirror. I love both gifts. Chris got me a new computer chair. I’ve been needing one for quite some time because this old one is less than comfortable.
Circle of Friends is on HBO right now. My mom and I were trying to watch it but my step dad kept bitching about us watching what he calls a soap opera so we eventually gave up. Men can be so obnoxious sometimes! Anyway, the book Circle of Friends by Maeve Binchy is actually one of my all time favorite books, and even though the movie isnt nearly as good as the book and does not do the book justice, I still really like the movie. I haven’t seen it in years, so I was hoping to get to watch it. But oh well. Seeing it on the tv also made me miss the book, which I had until my old apartment was flooded last year and I lost tons of books that were on the bottom 2 shelves of my bookcase.
Speaking of books, I’m going to probably head over to the used book store on Monday or Tuesday and grab some more books. I haven’t gotten any new reading material in quite some time. I haven’t exactly been to this book store yet, but I’ve been meaning to stop in. I usually get my books off Amazon.Com, but I’m not sure if I will be able to do that anymore. I usually end up spending around $50-60 every single time I order books off there.

omg i knew i missed your bday.
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY.
Happy belated birthday! Your Dad sounds just like mine but mine would just get up and walk away and find something else to do instead of bitching about it. I enjoy Maeve Binchy myself, but I never heard of Circle of Friends. I’ll go find a copy.
awwwwwww happy late birthday hun
let me know if you find any good books I need something new to read.
Happy late birthday, Angela!
Happy belated birthday! And hey, just because your day was boring, doesn’t mean it still wasn’t an awesome birthday. Right? *lol*
I absolutely love “Circle of Friends” (the book and the movie). In fact I just had to buy a new copy of the book because my old one was falling apart from too much reading. Tee hee!
I’m glad you had a good day-after-birthday with your family and some pressies, cause that’s always great. It’s too bad you didn’t get to watch the show, men can be quite silly. See, this is why DVR is good.
