Gustav Blows… Literally

I’m glad that stupid Gustav is downgraded to a category 2, and I’m glad it isn’t coming our way. I was a little worried a bit that I’d have to pack up and leave, but like they say “Better safe than sorry.” Even though it’s not as bad as predicted, it’s good that NOLA evacuated. I mean, I would have high tailed it out of there, too. To be perfectly honest, I would never have gone back after Katrina. I know alot of people feel like that’s their home, their life, their culture. But hell, you can make a home anywhere, you can make a life anywhere, and you can bring your culture with you. I mean, I do get it.. a little. But when it comes to something like this, knowing that the climate is as it is.. and knowing it’s more than likely only going to get worse, I’d stay gone. Anyway, from the looks of it, NOLA is going to flood like whoa. I hope those people who chose to stay and ride it out are safe and dry.

I wouldn’t have gone back after Katrina either. I mean wtf really? Do they really think the new levys will protect them?
