  • Vote For Your Favorite Seafood Recipe

I’m not a big fan of seafood, but I do like some fish and shrimp dishes. I won’t eat crab or lobster though. I’m also always on the lookout for new recipes and new dishes, because let’s face it, eating the same thing over and over can get redundant and boring. Spicing things up is always nice. I found some really cool recipes at this website called GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.Com. There they’ve featured five seafood recipes and they give you the opportunity to vote on your favorite recipe. If you do vote on your favorite recipe of the five, you can enter to win a trip to New Orleans including roundtrip airline tickets and hotel accomodations as well as some really amazing dining experiences. All you have to do is vote for your favorite recipe in the cook off and you could win. I entered, and the recipe I chose was the Colorado Striped Bass Panzanella by Chef Paul Anders of Colorado.

That recipe looks so delicious. The only thing I think I would change about this recipe is perhaps I’d like to substitute something else for the olives since I don’t really care for them, and I’d choose a different type of bread. I’m not fond of ciabatta bread. Other than that, the recipe seems perfect to me. My only thing is that I probably would buy the bass locally if they have it available, because local foods are way fresher than frozen foods shipped from other parts of the country. Local foods also easier to acquire and in my opinion just simply taste better. So I guess in that recipe I’d also change the exact type of bass. Either way, I plan on trying this recipe out and I’ll blog about it when I do and let all my wonderful readers know if it turned out well. In the meantime, don’t forget to go check out the seafood cookoff at GreatAMericanSeafoodCookOff.Com and choose your favorite recipe!
