The Importance of Auto Insurance

In The State of Texas, having insurance on your vehicle is mandatory. Actually, everyone who has a driver’s license is supposed to carry some form of insurance, but most who don’t own or drive a vehicle on a regular basis don’t. I hear alot of people, like my parents for instance, saying they sometimes can’t afford auto insurance, but what I’m wondering is if they can’t afford the insurance itself, then how are they going to afford that expensive ticket that they’ll get eventually. THe fine here for not carrying auto insurance is nearly $400. I would definitely rather carry insurance, not only for that reason but for the most important one of all – financial responsibility.
