Hooking Up The Tv and Computer Together

I recently got a new HD LCD Tv. My old tube tv finally bit the dust. My new television has spot where I can hook up my computer or laptop to it and use it as a huge monitor. I tried doing so, but didn’t realize I needed an HDMI cable to connect the two together. I need the same cable to also hook up High Definition programming. It’s a good thing the price isn’t bad, otherwise I’m not sure if I’d be able to get one right now. After spending all that money on the tv, I don’t have a lot left over. I think it’ll be really cool to be able to use my big television set as a monitor for my computer!
