Baby for sale on Craigslist? Wot?!

I’m sitting here playing text twist, while I’m watching (more like listening to) the news.. and right before they break for commercial I hear “When we come back.. An online ad offering a baby for sale?”. This of course, got my attention. So I did a quick google search and on the Fox new website (of course) there’s this story about some idiot in Newmarket, NH posting an ad on Craigslist stating that they are selling their 1 year old daughter. What?! And from what I gathered, they were offering the child out on a “rent to own” basis. They also say they are flexible with the terms and would include all of the child’s clothes and toys in the “final sale price”.
Ok, I’d like to think this is a joke, but who really knows. I mean.. there are some really stupid and sick individuals in this world. Then I also think that if this wasn’t a joke, they need to find the dumb ass who is trying to sell their kid to the highest bidder and throw them in jail. The child should be placed in a foster home, or with someone who really wants a child. If this person was willing to sell their child, imagine what kind of sick pervert or pedo would be willing to buy the kid? Some people are creeps.

Wow, that’s quite distressing. I hope it was a joke, or some awareness thing, but if they’re really serious, I’m worried about the world.
