Another year.. another uh.. Idkwot?

This is one of those times where I have all this crap in my head that I want to say.. and I just don’t know where to start. I’ll try my hardest to make this less like a babbling idiot’s blog and more like an intelligent person. But if I don’t succeed, I apologize in advance.
2007 was not the best year ever. I am really hoping this year is a big improvement over the last few. I didn’t do any “partying” last night.. or anything really. I just stayed home with my son. That’s fine with me. We ordered pizza and chilled. He got excited around midnight because the city does fireworks and what not.. and he could see them from the front door. Plus he had these little confetti deals that he got to pop, which he enjoyed. The actual “celebrating” of the new year isn’t really important to me anymore. When I was younger I was hell bent on partying and having a so-called “good time”, but now that I’m grown I really just don’t feel like that crap is all that important anymore. We had a good time last night, and I am happy that I spent the night with him.
Firstly, congratulations to Dawn for winning the coke rewards contest thinger. I had been running this “promotion” for about 6 weeks. Dawn submitted a total of 150 points. (Thanks Dawn!!) The prize was a free year of cpanel hosting. So Yay for her!
I finally put a new layout up on Coveted.Net. I’m really happy with it. It’s a big change from the last one, which I was told by Chris was really “bland and boring”. (Thanks.) Even though it may not look like it, the layout was actually pretty challenging for me. I am satisfied with the end results though, and I plan on keeping it like that for quite awhile. I also plan on adding to my collection over there this coming week. I’m also going to get started on a couple of other sites that I have some fun ideas for. I’m gonna be busy!
Anyways, as I promised, I’m doing a “hostee sweep” tonight or tomorrow. You’ve all been given ample warning, so don’t come at me later with “WHY DID YOU TAKE MY SITE DOWN BLAH BLAH BLAH”. At this point, I simply don’t give a crap.
To all reading this.. I hope you had a safe and happy celebration last night. I hope you all have a wonderful 2008.

Erm… *sweet smile* You didn’t delete me, did you? Wait, I see I’m still listed on the ‘hostee’ panel *wipes sweat* I can’t connect to the ftp for coveted.net, though… *frets*
I know what you mean about 2007 being a bad year. For me there was just so much crap to deal with and I’m really hoping 2008 will be better.
No, I did not delete you.
Happy new year hon! I’m glad you had a great time with your family, cause that’s what it’s all about, having a good time with those around you.
Thanks Julie. We did have a wonderful time. Happy New Year to you too!
It sounds like 2007 wasn’t a very good year for anyone. I feel confident that this one will be better. Yeah I don’t really feel like celebrating things like New Years anymore either. I wonder why that happens as we get older? I hope that I find something to get excited about sometime as I grow up.
Oh, and I forgot to say thanks for the gift. It was very nice of you to think of me
Welcome!
Heh, my first time here. I like your layout: the snow man looks awesome, very wintery theme too. I went out partying on New Year’s eve but it wasn’t all that exciting or fun either. I don’t really like holidays: they usually give me a nostalgic feeling. Blah. The best thing about it is being home with your family: that is what really matters, but apart from that most stuff is just overrated in my opinion.
I had a nice quiet New Year’s too. Sometimes it’s better that way, especially as you get older. Partying isn’t that much of a thrill anymore. But at least you were enjoying what really matters, like your son’s company. I hope 2008 treats you well.
Exactly. I used to love partying and going out, but nowadays I would much rather just sit at home and watch a good movie. I hope 2008 treats you wonderfully.
hey sweetie! yay im glad i won, i hoped i helped you and the hubby out on the coke rewards, hopefully ya’ll got something nice!
i sent you an email reguarding it.
i hear you on the partying thing, we partied, but men ended up fighting, so in the end it wasnt even worth the hang over.
happy new years, to you and your family sweetie!
xoxo
Men ended up fighting, huh? That must have sucked. Although when alcohol and immaturity are involved, it’s sometimes inevitable.
I hope 2008 is good to you.
I stayed at home at new years eve aswell. I think it’s almoust rediculous how you’re “supposed” to party, party, party at new years eve and if you don’t you must be weird.
The new layout on coveted looks very pretty. I like the colours and flowers.
Hey Angela! Happy New Year! Hehe I stayed at home during new year’s eve too. My cousins and I spent some time together and had BBQ. It was one of cousin’s birthday so we celebrated that as well and had a great time. I hope 2008 will be a better year for all of us
Hehe
Anyway, I like the layout you just put up for your other site. It’s very pretty and I love the color combination you used. Good job! ;D
Nothing wrong with bringing in the new year at home with the family. I don’t go in for all that partying jazz either. I decided to skip that phase. Wise beyond my years, I suppose. lol.
By the way…I like the snowman theme and what you’ve done with Coveted. Lookin’ good! =)
Happy (Belated) New Year to you!! It is great that you spent New Year’s with your son. I’d rather be with my family on New Year’s eve at home as opposed to out in cold downtown.
Love the new layout you put up at your other site!
Happy New Year, Angela!
