Hey there, I like your hair.

Today I went to a parent-teacher conference to talk to my child’s teacher. They do that at the end of the first 9 weeks to meet all the parents and go over how well/badly your child is doing in their class or whatever. So anyways, just like I expected.. my son is doing very well. His teacher said she is going to talk with his GT (gifted and talented) teacher about modifying his curriculum just like they did in first grade. He’s ahead of the entire class on everything, and yes I do take credit for that. Thank you. Anyways, I guess it makes me feel good when someone (especially my child’s teacher) tells me how intelligent and wonderful he is. Oh yeah, his teacher said he’s more computer literate than she is, LOL. That’s funny.
Other than that and alot of personal drama I’ve got going on.. life is pretty much as boring as usual. I’m considering a new layout before Thanksgiving. Something wintery or Christmasy. Something like that, anyways. I dunno yet. I’m also going to make my brushes compatible with Paint Shop Pro X2 and Photoshop CS3. I just don’t know when. Probably this weekend, depending on how things go.
Eric is going to be Darth Vader for Halloween. We are going to a party at Church. Yes, I said Church. I don’t take my child trick or treating for obvious reasons. He has more fun at the church than he would trick or treating anyway. They have a dunking booth, a big moonwalk thingy, tons of games and free food and candy. They have a hay ride, and a train ride, and the local fire department comes and let’s the kids ride on the fire truck. Shit like that.
Alright, I’m leaving you with this:

Aw. It’s always nice to hear something like that about your child especially since you know you ARE the parent. I love Halloween activities, all of that sounds interesting ha ha. The moonwalk thing would be a lot of fun. I can do it if I wear sneakers and put a little oil on the tip of them
Have a Happy Halloween!
I love hearing from people that my son is this or that. He recently met my boss and her son, and when it was time to go I have to admit, I secretly warmed up because my boy was like “okay bye” while my boss’s boy was like “I DON’T WANT HIM TO LEAVE! WAAAAAAMBULANCE!!! WAAAAAAMBULANCE!!! WAAAAAAMBULANCE!!!”
And then she goes “I was really surprised by how well behaved your son is.”
(DANCE)
More computer literate than the teacher?! Impressive! I can believe it though…youngins these days know their stuff. My marketing prof actually told us to give up on entering the computer industry because those currently in elem school will end up taking our jobs because they’re growing up knowing more than we do. I guess he has something there. lol.
awww. im glad your son is doing well! and i hope he has a great halloween!
Happy Halloween! heres a gift for you! please go to the link :

stay safe!! love dawn x o x o
Oh, hell no. My son knows better. And LOL @ WAMBULANCE! I say that all the time.
Your son sounds very smart!! I hope I get compliments like that about my children…when I have them. That movie is hilarious!
That’s so great that your son is doing so well. Speaking as someone who has been the smart one in class, it probably is going to suck if they don’t get his curriculum at a high enough level for him.
Do me, in places that require doing and licking ;p
i hope your halloween was awesome!! xoxo
Yeah, he’s a pretty impressive kid. I guess I can’t take all the credit for it, cause I’m not the world’s greatest parent or not even close… but despite what I’ve been told I must be doing something right. Heh.
Thank you for the v-gift. It’s lovely.
It’s nice to hear compliments.. I don’t very often. So when someone says something nice, I revel in it. And yea, the movie is hilarious. I like it.
lol. Is this a proposition???? ;o
Thank you Dawn. I hope yours was awesome as well.
Yes, I agree. I was the smartest in my class most times, and it sucked because back then they didn’t have things like “gifted and talented class” and what not. I was bored to tears.
It is nice to hear nice things like that. I agree.. and it does make me feel good when I my son receives compliments because it reflects upon me. He had a great Halloween. He went to a party at the local church. I simply watched a movie with my mom on Halloween. It wasn’t too bad.
Hah that video is weird and funny at the same time. And yay for your awesomeness son making everyone proud of him and even the teachers pat you on the back for his excellence
We had the class here, but when I tried to sign up for it, the teacher and I had personality conflicts. Mainly because she thought that because I excelled in math, I should love her pro-math agenda. If I had gone to the school across the Parkway from my school, then I would have surely gotten in, and I would have been exposed to other languages and history.
I imagine it feel amazing to hear your child is gifted
I mean, I don’t have kids but I get all “Yeah, he’s like soo much smarter than you!” when people compliment my 5-year-old nephew who uses the computer like a pro!
Ha, that video was hilarious
And now the song is stuck in my head
Yes, it is a great feeling when people compliment your child. And no worries, that song is stuck in my head, too. I walk around all day going Hey there, I like your hair.
That’s great that your child is doing so well in school. You must have read and stuff a lot with them before they started school. That kind of stuff really helps.
It seems a lot of people are taking their children inside for parties instead of going trick or treating. It is a good idea but I think it would take the fun out of it.
Thanks. Yes, we did do alot of that “stuff” before he started school. I felt it was important to get a jump start on it. I wanted him to enjoy reading especially, and he does.
I don’t agree with you about not trick or treating taking the fun out of Halloween at all. He had a wonderful time, got a bucket full of candy just like he would have if he’d been trick or treating, played tons of games, and was 100% safer. Trick or treating is over rated anyways, you run from door to door asking people for candy.. that’s basically it. Also if it rains, you’re screwed. ;x
That’s awesome about your son. Darth Vader, heck yes! That’s awesome lol.
