Murdering Mom and the Cult she rode in on.

Yesterday on The Tyra Banks Show one of the guests was Andrea Yates’ ex-husband. Now, for those of you who don’t know or remember.. Andrea Yates is that crazy woman who drowned her 5 beautiful children almost exactly 6 years ago. So, as I sit there listening to Tyra ask this man Rusty Yates all these questions about what happened.. I started to get really pissed off at his responses. I mean, yeah.. I do believe his ex-wife had some real mental problems and I do agree that where she is now is a better place for her than prison, but he acts like his ex-wife murdering their 5 children is just some normal everyday activity. Also, when Tyra questioned his current wife about how she feels about Andrea, the ditzy woman replied with something like “She is the most loving, caring, sweetest woman in the entire world.” Ok, WHAT THE FUCK? That has got to be the stupidest woman to talk the face of the earth, seriously. I wanted to slap her. Even though I know ultimately that Andrea Yates is responsible for her children’s deaths, I think that her husband and his ridiculous religious beliefs had alot to do with it as well. It’s like they were in some sort of a “cult” where they were taught by the “leader” Michael Woroniecki that women should not only birth as many children as humanly possible, but that the women shouldn’t just “exist” at home taking care of their children, but that they should be out everyday preaching “their word” on the streets. And while they are on the streets, who the fuck is taking care of the kids? The leader of their bullshit congregation seriously should be shot in his mouth. These people actually sent her letters and videos telling her she is a bad mother for not raising her children strictly to their guidelines and beliefs. Who the hell do those self righteous pieces of shit think they are anyway? In my opinion her husband and their cult of a religion made her psychosis 100% worse. They should all be held responsible as well, not just Andrea and her mental illness.
Now leading into this other thing that bothers me. I recieved a comment on my last blog, which wasn’t overly rude or anything of that nature, but rather condescending and judgmental. I mean I got the idea from just the few words that the girl typed that she had one of those “i’m better than you” attitudes like she looked down upon me or something. So, I go to her website to see what she’s all about and what do I find? Her website is a Christian website. Now don’t get me wrong, I AM Christian, and I’m not condemning her for her beliefs nor for the fact that she has a little website all about it or whatever, but what annoys me is how she and millions of other so-called Christians walk around acting like they are better than everyone and have a right to judge and point fingers at others, like they are perfect and their way of life is right and everyone else’s is just simply wrong. Not one person is perfect. If any of those so-called Christians have ever actually read their bibles or listened to their cult leaders or preachers or whatever, they would know that.

Email me, I have to ask you something babylove. Aslo, That woman is so freaking insane, You would think she had death penalty, and as far as him, Maybe he belongs in a psych ward >/ People make me so angry sometimes, anyways ily doll
I just looked at the comment you were referring to and screw that, IT WAS RUDE. she meant for it to be rude by telling you that you have no aspirations. wth. that made me so upset because a lot of uhhh “hardcore Christians” always have that i am so better than you aura around them and most of them are the BIGGEST, walking contradictions themselves. smmfh okay let me shut up on this subject haha.
wowwww@ what his current wife said. she might’ve been nice, she might’ve been loving but a mother who is the sweetes,t MOST LOVING person could not do that to her 5 children. i understand she had a mental illness but come on. cults are horrible. it’s crazy as to some of the things they make people believe is morally right.
I didn’t read that comment but i will after posting, however i agree with you 100% I’m too tired of those Christan cults those who goes around saying they are a devoted christan are the ones who are doing something really stupid, fake etc… enough of that…
I’m still in shock about that situation. I mean that dude don’t even seem to understand what really happened he lost all 5 of his children… Crazy life we live in…
While I´m currently in a state where I almost regret not to have any real belief in God ( I was raised atheistic and now have a fatally ill Mum at home ), I still think that religion can be so poisonous, yep. People tend to overdo it with cults and what-not.
I rather stick to my belief in fate, I guess.
That loving comments about that child-killing woman are truly insane. *shakeshead*
Yeah, I guess now that I think about it.. she was rather rude. But whatever.. if that helps her sleep at night.
I think honestly Rusty Yates current wife is just as much a psycho as his previous wife, and he is a psycho too. They should all be locked up. lol
Yeah, and how can he say “I forgive her, she is such a nice and loving person”?!!!???? What the hell is THAT? He had to be one of the reasons she went crazy in the first place. I mean the woman was valedictorian of her high school’s graduating class.. and to go from THAT to housewife with 5 kids, 1 more on the way and a bible thumping cult following husband.. I dunno…
Anja, I know this doesn’t make you feel any better, but I am so sorry for what you are going through. I can’t imagine going through something like that. You may not believe in religion or Christianity.. and I am not one to judge nor tell you what I think you should do with your beliefs, but I am going to pray for you and your mom. I know you don’t think that will do much, but it’s something, right? I believe in fate also..
I checked out your website and I didn’t really see the proper place for me to offer my condolences there so that is why I commented here.
Oh wow, I agree with you, what a nut case. I would have been very upset too. I can’t believe that the new wife said that about her. Someone has got to have some sort of problem to kill her kids… it’s really sad and someone should protect kids from parents like that.
Yeah, it’s a sad situation. It happened here too, 6 years ago tomorrow to be exact. Like I said, they all need to be held responsible. The crazy lady who did it.. the husband and their cult that drove her to it.. ALL OF THEM.
I didn’t even know Tyra Banks had her own show, goes to show how much tv I watch now a days.
I think you need to understand that this woman who is his second wife is probably trying to keep a nice facade and avoid stirring the pot. I’m not sure why she would marry the man, but since she did, I’m assuming she loves him. It’s gotta be hard to deal with that controversy everyday and find a safe ground so that you’re not viewed as sympathetic and approving to either side of the coin.
It’s been my experiance that Christians are the most judgmental of the religious groups. No offense intended to the few exceptions! ^_^ I find this to be highly ironic since more than 80% of the Christian religion has roots and influences from other religions, namely pagan faiths, which predated its conception. I guess what I’m trying to say here is I’ve never understood the need to flaunt one’s religion and use it as a basis to justify one’s opinions and stance on matters because until you actually die and or crack the mystery of life there is no irrefutable proof that one is wrong or right. Whenever I receive judgemental comments of this nature I just delete them and laugh at the people.
That said, I find this girl and her friends to be alarming and worrisome. If this were the 1920’s or 1960’s I’d be inclined to suspect them to be up and coming religious fanatics and future wives of KKK members. Don’t let the ramblings of their feeble minds trouble you.
Wow I faintly remember hearing about this but I can’t quite remember all the details. Sounds pretty sad to me…
That woman disgusts me. Cults disgust me. And actually I personally believe that all organized religions resemble cults in many forms.
It really perturbs me that someone could call someone who murdered her children a “loving and caring” woman. Ugh. Seriously, wtf.
Aw, I missed that episode of Tyra. The ditzy new wife would’ve pissed me off too, you’re not alone.
I actually recently received a blog entry about me in my offline life and talking about my blog.
The thing is, if people aren’t going to be nice…why read and comment about someone else’s blog?
That man is obviously still in denial about the death of his children.
I haven’t heard anything about Andrea Yates in so long. I’m glad I didn’t see that interview with her ex. I would have gotten irritated too.
I have a really huge problem with “Christians” judging other people. We aren’t supposed to judge anyone, right? Some Christians are very hypocritical. I can’t stand it.
wow! i remember hearing a lot of that kind of stuff 6 years ago. did you ever read/hear about those people who were living ina trailer with extreme religous beliefs? They were fasting along with there kids as well? their children were under weight and not developing properly. the court ended up taking their children away. It’s sad to see how children can end up still even in these times. It’s just their programmed cognitive mindset. It’s very hard to see and alter the way that other people think.
Thanks for commenting on my site, and for all of the advice. With my boyfriend, it’s something that i have been thinking about a lot lately. It just feels like i’ve invested too much of myself to pull out of it sometimes. And at the same time, i don’t even know if he even suspects my thoughts about the whole issue.
Internet drama, oh goodie.
I think, honestly, you had the right to say something to her about it - kindly present your case in a non-rude way, and there is nothing she can do, but answer you in the same manner. Don’t take anything people on the Internet say personally, because fifty percent of them have their heads stuck up their asses.
Good luck.
yeah, they all pretty much disgust me. i think they all need help. and coming from me… that really means something. lol
Wow, that would annoy me so much. people are so stupid and judgmental sometimes. what the hell? and i agree, if you can’t say something nice and/or intelligent, then keep the crap to yourself. why people go out of their way to hurt other people’s feelings or point out their faults is beyond me. i think it’s because they feel inferior or are trying to compensate for something?
They talk about Andrea Yates alot around here because she grew up here and this is where the murders happened. Also, the trial to have her guilty verdict over turned was not too long ago. her husband and his new wife are both idiots. and yes, it’s funny how alot of people who claim to be Christian have that holier than thou attitude. they aren’t made any better than the rest of the people in the world. and no one is without sin. but hey whatever floats their boat. lol.
No, I haven’t heard about the people in the trailer who were fasting/starving or whatever. I’m gonna go look it up though. I love google.
I know what ya mean about having so much invested and not wanting to just throw it away cause it would feel like you wasted so many years/ so much time for nothing, right? The thing is (and I have to tell myself this all the time, too, because I feel exactly like you do) actually having feelings like that are a sign that perhaps it’s just not meant to be. if they aren’t just feelings of “doubt” or “boredom” which is what i used to try and convince myself i was having.. but imagine how many more years of your life/time you can waste on this relationship and then to have it end anyway? If you really love this guy your heart won’t let you leave no matter how unhappy you are right now. It also just might be that you are still angry and hurt about certain things that have happened. Try talking to him and telling him how you feel. Make him listen. It doesn’t work with my boyfriend, but it might with yours. Heh.
I mean I didn’t really say anything TO her. I went to her website and was just like “uhhh… this explains it” and didn’t really feel like I could say anything because people like that always seem to have a retort for everything, and the “i’m better than you are” attitude really does nothing for me whatsoever except piss me off. I don’t take what she said personally, I just think that if she’s going to comment on my website about ANYTHING, she can be a little bit more constructive or if nothing else POLITE? you know? Anyways, you are right about people having their heads up their asses, but it’s more than just 50%. lol. ;P
